The KIM development team is pleased to announce the release of version 2.0.0-beta.1 of the KIM API package. This release introduces the concept of Neighbor List Hints, which allows Models to give the Simulator hints about how it uses neighbor lists. The simulator may use this information to optimize its neighbor list computations. The examples, documentation, and porting content guide have been updated appropriately.
